Veggie U A+ Program for the ASD Community

The Veggie U A+ iPad application, My Farm My Table, is used as a supplement to our classroom garden program. These fun, interactive stories engage children in learning about, farms, soil, plants, worms and the life of a farm. Along the way, they learn to make healthful eating choices and have tons of fun!

The Veggie U A+ Program meets Ohio State Educational Standards and Extended Standards, includes flexible lesson plans designed around different learning styles, and is helpful for students with a variety of learning disabilities and diagnoses. Most of all, the program is fun, engaging, and hands-on!

Since 2003, Veggie U has provided science-based, classroom gardens to elementary schools and special needs classes across the United States. Now, weve taken that expertise and applied it to meet the needs of the Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) community in a special program designed to engage students in the study of farming, plant science, and the importance of good nutrition.
